On Wednesday 28th February 2024, The Technical Secretary, Engr. Gideon Abu, MNSE in company of the Asst. Technical Secretary, Engr. Sefa Asortse, MNSE visited the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Wanune, Tarka LGA to deliver a professional lecture titled “Challenges of Engineering Practice in Nigeria” to Batch A Stream 1 Engineering Corp members on behalf of the Branch Chairman.
The Technical Secretary who was the main facilitator delivered the lecture with the aim of enlightening the Corp members on “what is engineering” and “who is an engineer”. The Technical Secretary added by introducing them to “The Nigerian Society of Engineers”, procedure of how to register as a member and the benefits of participating fully in the Branch activities.
After the lecture, the Corp members had an interactive session with the Technical Secretary and Asst. Technical Secretary. The Corp members were happy with the presence of the Branch EXCO for their efforts in encouraging them and requested that the Branch should make efforts for serving Corp member to serve in an engineering-based organization.
